ABOUT our annual artist-in-residence EXHIBITION
Please join us for the opening reception of GLEAN’s 15th annual Artist-in-Residence Exhibition on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. This exhibition will feature new works by our current GLEAN artists Martha Daghlian, Ebenezer Galluzzo, Hyun Jung Jung, Lalo Perez, and Michael Bernard Stevenson Jr.
GLEAN is a juried art program that taps into the creativity of artists to inspire people to think about their consumption habits, the waste they generate, and the resources they throw away. With work made strictly with materials recovered from Portland's Metro Central Transfer Station—aka the dump—this residency is a true experiment and honoring of contemporary art in our city. Come and celebrate this new work with the artists who made it all happen!
